My Story

Hi everyone!
Life is a journey with ups and downs, and twists and turns. My philosophy on counseling is that I am here to walk beside you when the path you’re on feels muddy or difficult, or when you need a collaborator to help you navigate the bumps in the way. You are the expert of your own life, but sometimes we need another person to listen to our sacred story, treat us with compassion and understanding, and accept us as we are - without judgement-as we negotiate our individual journeys.

In upholding these ideals, I practice person-centered counseling to help others find self-acceptance and foster personal growth. My life has taken me down many different lanes with its share of ups, downs and detours. I’ve been fortunate to have people walk beside me during those times, and I hope to create the same supportive and accepting environment for others as they travel their own paths.

Part of my journey includes continuing my education toward becoming a professional counselor by pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grace College and Theological Seminary. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Music Business from the College of Idaho. Before returning to school, I spent twenty years caring for my family, an experience that deepened my empathy and appreciation for life’s many seasons.

It would be an honor for me to walk beside you on your journey.
