My Story

My philosophy of counseling is recovery is possible and is unique to everyone. My focus in treatment is to walk with you on your journey and assist you in developing tools and skills to build the highest quality of life as defined by you. Throughout my career I have provided a full continuum of care ranging from crisis, case management, to therapy. There is no greater pleasure than working alongside people as they become empowered, make changes, and experience growth. No matter what you are going through, you are not alone, and help is a phone call away!

I received my Masters Degree in 2003 and have worked with people across the life span as they work through mental health, substance use, or developmental challenges. I utilize a person-centered approach as the foundation for providing trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance-commitment therapy, systems therapy, and cognitive restructuring.

Like you, my personal life has been filled with great joy and great sorrow. I have two grown children who have walked with me through the depths of sorrow in the loss of their father and my husband. I have witnessed their great accomplishments despite the challenges and sought out happiness in a way that allows me to cherish each moment life has to offer.
