My Story
I am currently attending Spring Arbor University. I will graduate at the end of 2024 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science Concentration in the Human Service Field from Baker College in 2018.
I believe my role is to be a supportive companion on your journey toward self-discovery and personal growth. You, as the client, are the foremost authority in your own life, possessing unique insights, experiences, and strengths. I see counseling as a collaborative process where we work together to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. As a counselor, I am dedicated to creating a safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
I adhere to the person-centered philosophy. The client is at the center of the therapeutic process as they are experts on their experiences. I strive to offer genuine warmth, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust and mutual respect. My primary theories include cognitive-behavioral theory, choice theory, and psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theory.
